Holistic Philosophy

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

WholeTherapy was developed with a vision that wellness is ultimately achieved by attending not only to our body, but our mind and soul as well. When we neglect one part of ourselves, we may oftentimes notice a greater impact on our ability to function and stay present for the people andthings in our lives. WholeTherapy specifically addresses your mental health and emotional well-being, while also acknowledging the importance of exercise, diet and spiritual fulfillment to maximize "feeling good.”

We encourage our clients to focus on creating balance in their lives through:

  • Good self-care practices

  • Connecting to the body using mindfulness practices

  • Building good social health through strong connections to others, and understanding our core set of beliefs and values

  • Nurturing ourselves by connecting with feelings of gratitude and self-compassion

  • Before your first session, take a few minutes to think about what’s been bothering you and what you’d like to work on in therapy. It can help to write down your main concerns or goals and complete any intake forms ahead of time. Arriving a few minutes early gives you space to settle in and start the session feeling more comfortable and focused. Before your first session, take a few minutes to think about what’s been bothering you and what you’d like to work on in therapy.
